Kidding you know what I'm going to speak on. I'm really torn on the Henry issue. Is he a freak on the field and make our team better when he is out there, yes. Is he an idiot....hell yes. Marvin prob sees that he will be gone when his contract is up, because this call came from mike and I'm sure marvin is more than a little mad, but we could all be wrong about all of it. Marvin wants to be here,but has no say in the final decision. Fact of the matter is, Chris will not be going anywhere unless he gets in trouble again and then he will be out of the league. The upside is huge and the downside is, well we were already the joke of the nfl, so what image is it going to hurt. Cincy will forget everything if he keeps his nose clean for the year, does good on the field and a possible playoff spot. We forgive and forget quickly and a winning season in who dey land will make all the nay sayers go away. There is way too much time and effort spent on this whole story and it will not change anything. I want to see a winning football team, but I'm not ready to say win at all cost.

Bueno bueno...me imagine q algun tipo de significado tenia...y estaba bastante encaminada te digo pero tu explicacion es como q demasiado completa jajaajaaaa vale la aclaracion...pero te aclaro algo yo y lee bien...

Por mas negro q este el fruto de la flor...en algun momento cuando caiga al piso y pase a formar parte de esa tierra tan negra q describis, con el tiempo, lo mas probable, es q nazca una nueva planta, con nuevas flores y q seguramente esa planta y esas flores esten mas fortalecidas...sean mas grandes y tengan colores mas intensos...

No se si comprendiste mi metafora...pero eso es lo q  pasa en la naturaleza y creo q tambien pasa con el amor de las personas...mas alla de q yo crea q es UNO y vos me discutas q NO..."ese" o "esos" amores se van renovando...mutan para ponerse mas fuertes o debilitarse completamente y dejar paso a nuevos amores o el mismo amor mas fortalecido...

I went there to check it out last week.  It was really nice. I had lunch there with two of my closest fashion friends that I haven't seen in  a long time. Well I started off with "Minestrone alla Verdure dell' Orto" , then for the main course "Ravioli ai Funghi Porcini con Zucca e Salvia". It was perfect. Just like my friends Anne and Mark, the perfect couple. I was looking at the place and it was just amazing. Just like them...the most amazing couple that deserves the perfect wedding in the perfect place on the perfect date...

Justin Reed (.249, 36RBI) earned his reputation as a fan favorite the night of the brawl but tonight he let his bat do the talking for him as he was three for four with three runs scored helping the Dragons take care of the Loons 10-9 on Tuesday night at 5/3 Field.

Not much to report from the mound as the Dayton pitchers gave up nine runs on nine hits. The game will send the boys off to West Michigan (Detroit, 27-30) for a four game set starting on Thursday after a day off for travel tomorrow.

The Dragons now lead the Fort Wayne Wizards (San Diego, 27-30) by four and a half games for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Division of the MWL.

Player update:

Matthew Klinker (West Chester) is having a tough start since being promoted to the high "A" Sarasota Reds. He is 1-2 with a 7.52 ERA in four starts. Matt was easily one of my favorites this season and I am pulling for him to get it going

So Charles and I just got back from our first trip to Pontiac.  It was nothing short of amazing.  It was somewhat uneventful for the first two hours.  We wondered if there were any homeless in need.  We continued to pray for God to lead us to someone or for God to lead someone to us.  We handed out a couple of waters to Ronnie (I think his name was?) who though he said he was homeless, I had my doubts.  We saw a man sleeping and we just didn't feel led to wake him.  We then found ourselves at an intersection or a crossroads if you will.  As we tried to be sensitive to the Spirit's leading we would just be quite sometimes.  This was one of those moments and I thought and said, "let's walk around that side of town one more time, we haven't been over there in a while."  Then as we walked past the Grace Centers of Hope we saw what seemed to be an entire family walking away with duffel bags, backpacks and suitcases filled to capacity.  I said to Charles, "what is going on there?"  We caught up with them and asked.  The man of the family, Chris, said "homeless."  There was no room for them at Grace Centers and they were going to try the Salvation Army Community Center.  I told them they could have  a water and that if "the Sal" couldn't help that they could come see us and we would by them dinner.  We waited and they soon came walking back our way.  They did not come all the way to us, so we went to them.  I asked "they couldn't help?", and of course they couldn't and I asked then "why don't you come and eat with us?"  So we went and ate at the coney and we found that Chris (the dad), Mikka (the mom), Tez (the son), Cupcake (nickname of daughter), and Theresa (the friend) all rode a Greyhound in from Ohio and had no place to stay, but had family in Ypsilanti.  Let's pray they get a fresh start and that they build that start on Christ.  We spoke of Christ with them and gave Him the glory for our encounter.  Chris needs a job and the whole group needs shelter.  Keep them in your prayers.

The charity song "Just Stand Up" will hit radio and iTunes on September 2nd. The song features Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Tom Cruise has teamed up with Spider-Man director Sam Raimi to develop DC Comics' Sleeper at Warner Bros., with Cruise attached to star in the fim.  Sleeper centers on covert operative who becomes fused with an alien artifact that not only makes him become impervious to pain, but allows him to pass the ability on to others.  Somewhat complicating matters: He falls for evil henchwoman Miss Misery while on assignment.

All though I am sorry to see HBK retire, the WWE will live on. I believe that HBK should take off his wrestling boots and take them staight the WWE Hall of Fame.

I have been a Bengals fan through thick and thin since the early 70s. I want the management and coaching staff of the team to put a winning product on the field. The addition of Chris Henry to the team's offense gives them a better chance to win and score more points.

Discounting the throw-away game vs KC at the end of 2005, in regular season games since 2005....  

Bengals record and avg PPG with Henry: 21-13  -  25.3

Bengals records and avg PPG w/o Henry: 4-9  -  22.8

Even when Henry doesn't produce stats for himself he improves the offense and gives the team a better chance to win. There can be no argument on this and he could arguably be the difference between a 10-6 and a 6-10 2008 season. Stats don't lie! Let's logically look at the timeline of events regarding Mr. Henry:

2007 (part 1): He serves an 8 game suspension mandated by the NFL for past indiscretions. I  believed at the time that this penalty was quite harsh since the Bengals had suspended him for 3 games in 2006 when problems were resurfacing. I thought it should have been 4. Since he has paid his dues for previous problems off of the field I truly believe that anyone bringing up these indiscretions today is piling on big-time. So let's put the marijuana, the underage alcohol and Orlando gun beefs behind us from this point forward. Not to mention the bogus DUI, the fake assault charge in KY, the rental car mix up and numerous Chris Henry sightings you still hear about on sports talk radio from time to time. You know the one's. "My cousin's friend's brother-in-law saw Chris Henry smoking a joint the size of a Macanudo as he was staggering around drunk at the Serpentine Wall."

2007 (part 2): He plays in all 8 games and the Bengals go 5-3. He stays out of trouble.

Jan-Feb-Mar 2008: He stays out of trouble.

April 2008: He is arrested for assault.

April 2, 2008: He is cut by the Bengals. This was an interesting move as the modus operandi for NFL teams, including the Bengals, is to wait until the court case is adjudicated before deciding whether or not to release a player. The club was either under self-induced internal presure or external pressure from the NFL to make this move so hastily. If the Bengals would have waited for the case to come to trial they would have kept Henry and this whole uproar would be moot.  

July 14, 2008: The assault case against Henry is dropped.

July 23, 2008 and July 27: Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis both make comments to the media inferring that they have permanently cut ties with Henry.  

July 31, 2008: The NFL suspends Henry for 4 games in 2008. Evidently if you are an employee of the NFL you are guilty until proven innocent and still guilty even after your case has been dropped.

Early August: Rumors begin to swirl Henry may be coming back to the Bengals and Henry admitted in his press conference he had spoken with Marvin Lewis during this time. (This is important as I believe the signing was not a result of Chad Johnson's injury on August 17th.)

August 15: These rumors intensify.

August 19: Henry is re-signed by the Bengals for 2 years.  

So the $64,000 question is what changed between July 27 and today? It's pretty easy to see when you look at the timeline. The Bengals more than likely expected the NFL to suspend Henry for longer than 4 games. Probably more like the whole season. So in late July they said what the public wanted to hear. Then when the suspension came down from the NFL for only 4 games the Bengals gathered and decided they had invested too much time and effort into this player for another team, possibly a division rival, to scoop him up and torch them twice a year with him. Especially since the chances of him getting his act together is quite good since he has hit rock bottom and knows that one more problem means his NFL career is over. I believe the team also looked into the assault case and realized they cut Henry too hastily and are possibly liable legally. (see Matthias Askew)

Don't be fooled by the fact Henry had no other offers to date. Most teams are probably waiting one more week to see how their rosters shake out before they would think about adding Henry, especially since he has a 4 game suspension. Most teams could probably get a special dispensation from the NFL to allow him to practice for a couple of those suspended weeks, especially considering he is serving a suspension for a crime that was dismissed. 

Hopefully Marvin has not been thrown under the bus by Mike Brown and hopefully we'll know that situation at his press conference tomorrow. That would be a shame. But then again maybe we could get a new head coach with some clock management skills and a firm grasp of the NFL rules. Sorry, I digress.

In review:

1) Henry has kept his nose clean since he was reinstated in the middle of last season. The assault charges were bogus.

2) The Bengals believe he has hit bottom and don't wan't him to go to another team.

3) Henry helps the Bengals win games

It didn't hurt Henry's chances when Chad Johnson hurt his shoulder on Sunday vs. The Lions. I believe he will be ready for the opening game but sublexed joints are tricky and can recur (remember Corey Dillon's knee) so this pretty much cancels out the argument of "How can Henry help when he can't play until Game 5? " The team is smart enough to know that Johnson's injury could be a problem all season.

I'll see all of you critics at PBS when the Steelers are in town, high-fiving when Slim catches the winning TD. The Bengals may have done a flip-flop on the Henry issue but you guys (and gals) are the true hippocrites, flooding the airwaves and internet with your "holier than thou" judgements and ignorant opinions. Let's have fun this season and cheer the Bengals on to many wins!

I wanna take him hooooome!!!

So we have officially decided that buying a house is extremely scary!! We just worked out the numbers of what we would be paying...HOLY MOLY!! I want to know how the heck people EVER get ahead...we both work hard we make decent money...we thought buying a house would be some what simple...O were we wrong...ITS HORRIBLE!! We are still undecided as to if we are going to continue to buy a house (which breaks my heart) but it is what it is...its either stay where we are ....or buy this house and have like zero dollars left to our name every month...which is stupid because what if we get an unexpected bill? OH MAN I guess I just came on here to vent and see if anyone has any advice!!! Sometimes it just seems like you work everyday for nothing...

As for getting married we can't wait...waiting to see who the finalists are going to be is KILLING us...Can't wait until Sept. in fact we have been looking at alot of peoples pages lately and theres a few that we can almost guarantee are going to make it...we wish everyone goodluck...<3 But I really really really hope we are the ones that get to walk down the aisle...lol!!!!!!!!! =)) Hope you all have a great rest of the week!!!
